- Accumulator
- A type of bet similar to a parlay, where winnings from one selection are placed on the next.
- Arbitrage
- Betting on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit.
- Bankroll Management
- A plan that tells you how much money to set aside for bets and how much to wager on each bet.
- Bet Slip
- The digital record that lists the selections, odds, and stake for a bet.
- Bonus Rollover
- The requirement to bet a certain amount of bonus funds before you can withdraw any winnings.
- Cash Out
- The option to settle a bet before the match ends, locking in a profit or loss.
- Cover
- When a team beats the point spread, they are said to have covered the spread.
- Dutching
- Splitting a stake across multiple outcomes in the same event to ensure a profit regardless of which one wins.
- Edge
- The advantage a bettor has over the bookmaker in a particular wager.
- Free Bet
- A promotional bet credited by a bookmaker that can be used to place a wager without using your own money.
- Handicapping
- Analyzing teams and matches to predict outcomes.
- Hedge
- Placing a second bet on the opposite outcome to reduce risk or guarantee a profit.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing a bet on a match while the action is already happening.
- Juice (Vig)
- The fee a bookmaker charges for taking a bet.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula that calculates the best amount to bet when you have an edge.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win a match, with odds shown as a positive or negative number.
- Odds
- The number that tells you how much you can win relative to your bet.
- Odds Boost
- A promotional increase of odds on a specific event, offering a higher potential payout.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals scored in a match will be more or less than a set number.
- Parlay
